Foto Art Festival

Foto Art Festival is a biennial of world photography that has been held in Bielsko-Biała since 2005. Its organizer is the Center of Photography Foundation and the Bielsko-Biała Commune.

The festival is the work of Andrzej and Inez Baturo, photographers from Bielsko. Since its debut, the festival has not lost its momentum and already has a broad international character. The exhibitions are presented in professional conditions, in several galleries of the most important cultural institutions in Bielsko-Biała, turning the city into a real capital of photography.

Since the seventh edition in 2017, the Foto Art Festival has been named after Andrzej Baturo.
The program and organizational director of the Foto Art Festival is Inez Baturo.

It is one of the largest events dedicated to artistic photography in Poland.
Already in 2005, Foto Art Festival Obieg magazine included the Foto Art Festival among the most important events of this type. Twice, in 2021 and 2023, in the plebiscite of the industry portal fotopolis.pl, the Foto Art Festival won the title of the most important photography event.
Most of the festival exhibitions are Polish premieres, presenting a variety of photographs - thematic and aesthetic.
We invite world photography stars from Europe, America, Asia, Australia and Africa. You will meet our wonderful artists in person at the extremely inspiring, two-day Author's Marathon. These are the most important days of the Photo Art Festival!
The main goals of the Photo Art Festival are:
  • Promotion of artistic photography: The festival gives the opportunity to present photographic works to both experienced artists and young talents. By organizing exhibitions, shows and competitions, the festival promotes various approaches to the art of photography.
  • Education and exchange of experiences: Foto Art Festival offers a number of workshops, lectures and meetings with professionals, which allows participants to develop their skills and gain knowledge about artistic photography and its various techniques.
  • Creating a platform for artistic discussions: By organizing discussion panels, lectures and meetings, the festival creates an opportunity to exchange views on contemporary photography and its role in society.
  • Integration of the photography community: Foto Art Festival is also an opportunity to meet and exchange experiences for the photography community, both professionals and amateurs.
The festival attracts both national and international artists and photography enthusiasts, creating an inspiring environment for collaboration and development in the field of artistic photography.
