FAQ

What is a cluster?

A cooperation network in which partners - cluster members voluntarily combine their resources to implement projects that, for various reasons, they could not do on their own. It can be compared to a group of friends who are different, have different interests and talents, lead their own independent lives, but meet and support each other when they can and want.

Does the cluster operate like a company with a management board that decides on the program and distributes tasks among members?

NO. It is the cluster members who, through their delegates in the Cluster Council, talk and decide on the development strategy, forms of organization, membership fees, organize themselves into thematic subgroups, etc. The cluster management moderates and conducts current tasks, recommends projects for implementation and represents the cluster in external contacts. Collects information and maintains databases available to members
cluster.

What are cluster resources?

The cluster's resources are those contributed by its members for the purposes of implementing joint projects - these may be premises or equipment resources, but also the experience and skills of employees, services and contacts.

How does the cluster survive?

The cluster is maintained by membership fees, the amount of which and possible exemptions are determined by the Cluster Council, as well as by donations and funds obtained from European and non-European programs.
Cluster members may also perform unpaid work and services for the cluster.
The cluster's revenues cover administrative costs, legal and accounting costs. The cluster does not accumulate assets; financial resources at the cluster's disposal will be transferred to a separate sub-account of the leader, reports and account settlements will be the subject of periodic public reports for active cluster members.

Do cluster members participate in all its projects?

NO. Cluster members form cooperating groups depending on the needs of specific projects. Their size and composition depend solely on the nature of the project, thematic area and needs
use of available resources. It is usually the originator - leader of the project who determines the needs related to its implementation. Participation in the project group is voluntary and only if you are invited to join it
a cluster member decides whether to participate or reject the invitation.

Can the cluster management help its members find projects that are suitable for them?

Yes. The management board, also using information from all partners, monitors current calls for funding programs, maintains databases and makes them available to cluster members. Where possible, it also provides support in preparing applications or identifies experts who can
to do.

What are the benefits of participating in a cluster?

All cluster members have access to the cluster's information and contact database. Other benefits depend directly on the activity of the cluster members themselves, their initiation of their own projects and their readiness to participate in other projects to which they are invited.

Does the cluster make it possible to reach for funds that are unavailable to its individual members acting independently?

Yes. There are programs, both European and national, that require the creation of partnerships - some are directly oriented towards supporting clusters.

Can a cluster help in finding partners for projects and international cooperation?

Yes. We will support each other in creating international relations, among others: many years of experience of the Chamber of Commerce of Exporters and Importers (Cluster Leader), successfully running cooperation projects in Europe, Africa and Asia for 30 years. IGEI has offices or representatives in Hong Kong, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Algeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Guinea, Nigeria, Uganda.

Can cluster membership cause image or financial damage?

NO. The cluster does not have legal personality and each of its members is personally responsible for their own activities
actions. Cooperation projects between entities in the cluster that require financial and/or organizational involvement will be implemented on the basis of the provisions of the agreement between the involved partners.
The agreement will each time specify in detail what contribution each partner will make to the project, who will coordinate it, who is responsible for performing specific tasks, how it will be settled, etc.
